Announcements

Bible Study opportunity – We continue to meet at Cherry Hills, the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday each month. Everyone is welcome to attend, as are the residents of Cherry Hills. The next date is Feb. 9^th .  

Bible Institute -We’re trying to bring back the winter Bible institute in Winner, with a one-day event, Saturday, Feb. 4,^, 2012. It will be from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, with a potluck lunch. More info to follow.

Board of Education and Council & Elders’ meetings this Thursday, Feb. 2^nd.

Winter Break – No School or Pre-school, Feb. 17^th & 20^th.

Ash Wednesday – It’s not that far off! Feb. 22^nd is Ash Wednesday, and we begin our midweek Lenten Services at 7:00 pm each week, with soup and sandwiches at 6:00 pm before the service. There’s a sign-up sheet in the back of church for sandwiches and soup.

> We are currently offering our Bible Information Class under the theme "My Lord and My God" in-home, but we're always happy to start other times and opportunities. Call Pastor Krenke about starting up a study!

News from Our School

• Little Lambs Preschool & Zion Lutheran School are both underway for the year. We offer excellence in education in a Christian environment, with smaller classes in multi-grade classrooms.

  • Little Lambs Preschool:  We offer a 2-day a week program for 3 and young 4-yr olds, and a 3-day a week program for older 4 and 5-yr olds. For more information call our teacher/director Suzanne Krenke at 402.376.1643.

  • Zion Lutheran School:  We have two faculty members, Miss Sonja Oldre for K-2 grade, and Mr. Brad Jensen teaching grades 3-8 and serving as principal apprentice.  If you are interested in your child attending classes at Zion, please call the school at 402.376.2745 or the church office at 402.376.1643 for more information.
